Metro Manila Wedding Traditions |
| |
Metro Manila might be a civilized suburban district but Manileños and Manileñas are still following Philippine wedding traditions. Some of which are the proper attire of barong tagalogs or tuxedos on their weddings, avoiding two siblings being married on the same year especially women (sukob) because it would cause bad luck, money is being pinned on the couple during their dance on the reception, and many other Filipino wedding traditions. Manila weddings are generally held on churches followed by a reception to either a restaurant, an out-of-town venue, or just a home reception.

Metro Manila Wedding Venues |
| |
| |
Metro Manila is also the home of some of the biggest wedding churches in the Philippines. Some popular Manila church wedding venues are the Manila Cathedral, Quiapo Church, and Baclaran Church. There are many parks as well if couples prefer outdoor weddings. Most people in Manila prefer Manila church weddings. This is because there are only a few affordable indoor wedding venues inside Manila so Manila Weddings are generally held on churches. And also, reservation rates in Metro Manila are higher compared to those in the provinces.
However, for couples who have enough money to spare, there are many luxurious Manila wedding venues available to cater for them. May it be 5-star hotels, restaurants , function halls, or other venues like The Coconut Palace in Manila. Some of the grand hotels in Metro Manila are Bayview Hotel, Trader’s Hotel, Manila Hotel, and Holiday Inn Galleria. There are also outdoor wedding venues and large chapels for grand weddings.
Indeed, Metro Manila hosts wedding venues for different kinds of people.
