Turning dream into Reality
Planning a wedding is never complete until the bride walks down the aisle.
One of the most important things to do in the first few weeks of the engagement after reality sets in is to determine the budget, which will affect every single aspect of the wedding. The other is to come up with the guest list. The size of your wedding has an impact on the entire affair, because it will likely dictate location, and location will set the scene for the food, décor and even entertainment.
Selecting the setting is also a priority because its availability will determine the date of your wedding. An out-of-town marriage requires additional planning for lodging, travel arrangements and activities for guests.
Another decision to make early on is the time of day you want to be married. Many brides neglect to consider just how much impact the time has on the mood of the party. Night weddings are more romantic because you can have candlelight and dancing, which never seem to suit in daytime occasion. Time of year also affects plans, because you must consider potential weather problems, and even where you want to spend your honeymoon.

Brides don’t have to reinvent the wheel at every wedding. The love that goes into the planning is the most important thing.

When a woman gets married, she is not just gaining a husband, she is also acquiring a mother-in-law. The mere words can send shivers down a woman’s spine. Mother-in-law, in general, just do not have a good reputation. Don’t let the stereotype ruin your relationship with yours.
After your engagement has been announced, take your mother-in-law-to-be to lunch, ask her to reminisce about her own wedding and let her know exactly what kind of involvement you would like her to have in yours. Being straightforward and warm with this very important woman right from the start will stand you in good stead throughout your life. Grooms, take note: The same goes for you.
