| Designing the wedding look |
 |
| Flowers have always been one of the most important and traditional elements of a wedding. From the bride’s bouquet to the altar and table decorations, they set the mood, express religious customs and transform a space with their colors, shapes, textures and scent. |
 |
| "Don’t let anyone to tell you that certain flowers are inappropriate for a wedding. If you love them, then they’re appropriate." – Marcy Blum |

| What happens to the flower arrangements when the wedding is over? |
| Guests should never take home arrangements unless they are specifically invited to do so. Often the hosts save the wedding flowers for a post wedding brunch and then discard them. Once all the festivities are over, they should be donated to a needy recipient. Contact a local hospital or nursing home to arrange delivery for the day after the weddings. Then request that your florist donate the time to deliver them by van. There is no reason that your wedding flowers shouldn’t have a long, happy life, too. |
